VintageTonic aka FabricEnvy
This is 90 year old Willy Mokjær, former president of the tailor’s guild in Denmark, wearing a suit he cut for himself in the early 80’s from a beautiful vintage ( the heavier, stiffer, armour-like) example of Dourmeuil’s legendary Mohair cloth, ‘Tonic’. a subtle cloth with a silky sheen and, here, with fantastic slubby nubs of colour that liven up the steely grey. Cut with generous lapels, a full chest & broad, roped shoulders allowing a flattering sweep to a nipped in waist without being overly tight. Proportional, elegant, masculine & an inspiration.
